U.S. Crude Oil Inputs Drops by 191K bpd as Inventory Remains Below a 5-year Average

(EIA) The U.S. crude oil refinery inputs decreased by 191,000 bpd to 16 million bpd in the week ended August 13 from the previous week’s average. 

The crude oil imports decreased by 46,000 barrels per day to 6.4 million barrels per day in the week in comparison to the previous week. 

The total products supplied in the last four weeks rose 13.2% to 20.8 million barrels per day in comparison to the same period of last year. 

The commercial crude oil inventories were down by 3.2 million barrels from the previous week.

The crude inventories, now at 435.5 million barrels, are 6% below the five-year average.
