Palantir Widens Loss to $138.6M in Q2 Despite a 90% Commercial Revenue Growth in the US

(Palantir) Palantir Technologies announced a loss of $138.6 million in the second quarter, from a $110.5 million loss in the same quarter last year.

The company reported a $262.1 million loss in the half-year ended June, from a loss of $164.7 million reported in the first half of last year. 

Palantir’s revenue increased to $375 million in the second quarter, from $251.9 million in the same quarter last year.

The software company’s consolidated half-year revenue grew to $716.9 million, from $ 481.2 million in the same period of 2020.  

Its commercial revenue in the US grew by 90% in the second quarter compared to last year, bringing the total growth to 49% or $717 million. 

Q3 revenue is expected to be $385 million and an operating margin of 22%.

Palantir expects to record annual revenue growth of 30% in 2021 full-year results and the adjusted free cash flow in excess of $300 million.
