NVIDIA Set to Power the Largest GPU-Based Supercomputer at the US’s Argonne Lab

(NVIDIA) NVIDIA has announced that the largest GPU-based supercomputer at Argonne National Laboratory of the US Department of Energy will run on its computing platform.

The Polaris supercomputer is expected to boost research and discovery by integrating users’ algorithms and science.

NVIDIA expects the Polaris system to advance treatments in cancer, lead to explorations in clean energy, and bring forth new approaches to physics.

Polaris will be used by academic researchers, government agencies, and industry through the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility application programs and peer-reviewed allocations.
