(Medium.com) Cosmos, which dubs as, “The Internet of Blockchains,” is welcoming InterBTC to its ecosystem to bring deep BTC liquidity to users.
InterBTC boosts interoperability, allowing transmission of value, as well as facilitating information transfer between blockchains.
InterBTC will also be provided to any blockchain that supports the IBC cross-chain standard, once it is available to Cosmos.
Through interoperability, InterBTC’s pioneer Interlay aims to avail Bitcoin to all DeFi platforms and facilitate the use of BTC anywhere.
InterBTC was initially built on Polkadot and allows access by Polkadot, Ethereum, and some other networks.
Interlay now plans to prepare a technical feasibility report on the integration of InterBTC to Cosmos IBC, as well as a proof-of-concept implementation with specific INC-compatible chains.
