ASML Optimistic of More Revenues as it Announces €4 Billion Q2 Net Sales

(ASML) ASML reported a net income of €1.038 billion from a reported revenue of €4.02 billion. The company announced a share repurchase of €9 billion that will start on 22nd July 2021 and will be executed on 31st December 2023. 

The net income and revenue in Q2 21 was lower than Q1 21 when it was €1.331 billion and 4.364 billion, respectively. However, the company’s net bookings for Q2 stood at €8.3 billion including EUV systems booking of € 4.9 billion putting the total backlog at €17.5 billion.  

ASML’s gross margins came at 50.9% in the second quarter, lower than 53.9% in the first quarter.

ASML is forecasting revenue of between € 5.2 billion and €5.4 billion for Q3, with an estimated gross margin of up to 52%.  

ASML: NASDAQ is up +2.41% on premarket.
