(Twitter) Movie giant AMC Theatres is exploring the idea of adding Shiba Inu to its payment options for tickets and concession stand purchases.
In a Twitter poll, CEO Adam Aron asked fans whether the movie theatre should include Shiba Inu as a payment option, with more than 80% recommending it.
The addition of Shiba Inu is expected to supplement Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies which AMC is already accepting as a payment for physical gift cards.
AMC will add Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash as new payment methods by the end of the year.
Meme tokens Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are touted as the perfect fit for AMC, which itself rose to fame as a meme stock following a retail frenzy that saw heavy squeezes on Wall Street.
