Xpeng Shares Jump 8% as Deliveries Rise 202% in March

(Xpeng) Shares of Xpeng rose more than 8% on Friday in premarket after announcing 15,414 vehicle deliveries in March, up 202% from the prior year. The deliveries rose by 148% from February.

Xpeng said that its monthly deliveries of P7 smart sedans were 9,183 in March, the first time it surpassed 9,000. 

The other deliveries in March consisted of 4,398 P5 smart family sedans and 1,833 G3 and G3i smart compact SUVs.

The EV maker said that it delivered a total of 34,561 vehicles in the first quarter of the year, representing an increase of 159% from the prior year.

Xpeng’s cumulative deliveries as of March 31 reached 172,514 vehicles.
