XPeng Revenues Jump 187.4% Boosted by Record Vehicle Deliveries

(XPeng) XPeng Inc. posted total revenues of RMB 5.72 billion or US$887.7 million in the third quarter of 2021, up 187.4% from the prior year.

XPeng’s revenues were boosted by vehicle deliveries which rose to a record 25,666 in the third quarter, up 199.2% from the prior year. P7 deliveries were at a record 19,731, up 71.2% from the second quarter.

Revenue from vehicle sales totaled RMB 5.46 billion or US$847.4 million, a gain of 187.7% from the prior year. 

The gross margin was recorded at 14.4%, up from 4.6% in the prior year and 11.9% in the previous quarter. 

The company’s net loss widened to RMB 1.595 billion or US$ 247.5 million, from RMB1.149 billion in the prior year. 

XPeng now projects vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter to range between 34,500 and 36,500, a year over year increase of about 166.1% and 181.5%. 

Revenues in the fourth quarter are expected at RMB7.1 billion and RMB7.5 billion, an increase of about 149.0% and 163.0% from the prior year.
