(CNBC) Payments giant Visa will offer crypto advisory and consulting in a move to encourage digital asset adoption while helping clients navigate the less familiar space.
Visa says crypto is a huge growth opportunity and will continue to exploit it going forward.
The payments giant says the crypto advisory service will target entities seeking to rollout crypto services such as NFTs.
While naming the American bank EMB as its client under its crypto advisory services, Visa says it already permits crypto spending in more than 50 million merchants.
Visa is also lining up products relating to stablecoins in a move that signals the company’s inroads beyond card payments.
The latest announcement by Visa happens amid growing competition and pressure from other companies using its credit cards. Last month, Amazon said it would stop using Visa’s credit card in Britain due to “high fees.”
