Virgin Galactic Soars After FAA Clearance to Fly Licensed Spaceflights

(Virgin Galactic) Virgin Galactic stock soared more than 9% on Thursday on news the Federal Aviation Administration has cleared it to fly licensed spaceflights.

FAA clearance follows an inquiry of air traffic control clearance and real-time mission notification after the company’s Unity 22 flight back in July.

Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier said he appreciates the thorough review by the FAA, promising to continue improving the company’s processes and procedures.

SPCE: NYSE is up +9.18% on premarket.
