US Private Sector Shakes off Delta Variant Concerns to Add 571,000 Jobs in October

(ADP National Employment) US private sector employment jumped by 571,000 in October from September underlining robust recoveries from slowdowns caused by the Delta variant.

Large businesses contributed the highest job gains at 342,000

Small businesses added 115,000 jobs, while medium businesses saw an employment gain of 114,000.

Service-providing entities had the bulk of job additions at 458,000, with leisure and hospitality contributing 185,000 jobs.

Goods-producing firms added 113,000 jobs as franchise employment rose by 55,300.

The labor market has now added almost 5 million jobs this year, with job gains continuing to increase across all industries.
