(ADP National Employment) A total of 128,000 jobs were generated in the US private sector from April to May.
A bulk of payrolls in the private sector came from large businesses, which added 122,000 jobs.
Medium businesses added 97,000, although small businesses recorded outflows of 91,000 amid tight labor market conditions.
Job creation by sectors showed that service-providing entities added the most jobs at 104,000. Goods-producing businesses generated 24,000 jobs, while franchise employment stood at 26,400.
ADP’s chief economist Nela Richardson commented on the private payrolls saying that the monthly gains are now closer to the levels before the pandemic. He says that small firms continue to struggle to retain staff as large entities boom.
