US Crude Inventories Rose by 0.7M Barrels Last Week

(EIA) The stockpiles of US crude oil were 414.4 million barrels in the week to April 22, an increase of 0.7 million barrels from the previous week.

The rise in inventories happened even as the total imports of crude increased by 98,000 barrels per day to an average of 5.9 million bpd. The imports averaged 6.0 million bpd in the last four weeks, a decline of 0.3% from the comparable period of last year.

The crude refinery inputs were at an average of 15.7 million bpd in the week to April 22, a decline of 33,000 from the previous week. Refineries were operating at 90.3% capacity.

Overall, the total products supplied in the last four weeks averaged 19.4 million bpd, a decline of 1.6% from the prior year.
