US Crude Inventories Decline by 1.9M Barrels

(IEA) The US reported 411.6 million barrels of crude oil inventories in the week that ended March 4, down by 1.9 million barrels from the previous week.

Inventories of motor gasoline fell by 1.4 million barrels, while distillate fuel inventories were down by 5.2 million barrels in the week to March 4.

The fall in inventories happened even as crude imports in the week rose by 0.6 million barrels per day to an average of 6.3 million bpd. The total imports over the past four weeks averaged 6.2 million bpd, up by 10.1% from the comparable period of last year.

The total crude refinery inputs fell by 21,000 bpd to an average of 15.4 million bpd in the week that ended March 4. 

Overall total products supplied over the last four weeks averaged 21.6 million bpd, an increase of 12.3% from the previous week.
