(CNN Business) Washington and TikTok will not proceed with a lawsuit against Trump’s administration’s move to ban the short-form video app from being listed on US app stores.
The US government and TikTok filed at the District of Court of the District of Columbia, dropping the lawsuit.
President Joe Biden overturned Trump’s 2020 executive order against TikTok and instead, replaced it with a sweeping one targeting the overall tech sector, especially those with Beijing links.
TikTok is still discussing with the US on how it can address security concerns concerning data of its US users.
