(OpenNode) Stripe has partnered with BTC payments infrastructure firm OpenNode to allow its merchant customers to convert all or a portion of their incoming payments to Bitcoin.
The anticipated OpenNode app for the fiat conversions is expected to debut when Stripe App Marketplace launches in a “few weeks.”
OpenNode’s head of strategy says that the app will give merchants a simple and secure way to convert bitcoins, either in real-time, automatically, or on demand.
OpenNode serves around 126 countries through its Bitcoin-powered solutions. The partnership is a plus for Stripe, which currently has around 3.1 million active websites on its platform.
