ARK Invest Revives Its Spot Bitcoin ETF With SEC After Initial Rebuff

(Twitter) Cathie Wood’s ARK Investment Management has submitted another physical Bitcoin ETF to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF includes a proposed rule change from the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

The ETF will track the performance of Bitcoin relative to the S&P Bitcoin Index. The trust will hold Bitcoin and value the shares on a daily basis, based on the index.

The filing comes after SEC rejected an initial application of ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF in April. The deadline for approval or disapproval of the ETF will be on January 24, 2023.

The move by Cathie Wood comes as the SEC continues to delay or decline applications for Spot Bitcoin ETFs. Analysts are still optimistic that the regulator could approve one in mid-2023.

BTCUSD is down -0.53%.
