(StoneCo.) Shares of StoneCo Ltd rose more than 33% on Friday after reporting a total revenue of R$1.873 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021, up 87% from the prior year.
The company said that its financial income in the fourth quarter was R$861.2 million, up by 71.9% from the previous year.
The adjusted EBITDA was reported at R$684.7 million, representing an increase of 30.1% from the comparable quarter of 2020.
StoneCo’s adjusted net income slowed to R$33.7 million in the fourth quarter, down from R$357.8 million in the comparable quarter of 2020.
The company said that it added a quarterly record 378,000 clients, taking its total active clients to 1.8 million.
