Apple Nets a Quarterly Record Revenue of $97.3B in Q2 2022

(Apple) Apple reported a record revenue of $97.3 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 9% year-over-year.

Apple said its operating income was $29.98 billion in the second quarter, an increase from $27.5 billion in the previous year.

The net income was $25 billion or a diluted EPS of $1.52, compared to an income of $23.63 billion or $1.40 per share in the previous year. 

Following the robust quarter, Apple said it returned almost $27 billion to its shareholders in the quarter. The company declared a $0.23 per share cash dividend, representing an increase of 5%, while also authorizing an additional $90 buyback to its repurchase program.
