Plug Power Showcases a Zero-Emission Hydrogen Renault Master Van in Symposium

(Greenfleetmagazine) Plug Power Inc. unveiled its first HYVIA hydrogen Renault Master Van H2-TECH prototype at the Plug Power Symposium for 2021.

Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh says the Renault Master Van is a game-changer and will serve different industries needing powerful, efficient, and clean hydrogen mobility solutions.

The Renault Master Van comes with no emissions and boasts of a range of at least 300 miles. It is equipped with a 30kW fuel cell engine and can be refueled within minutes.

The hydrogen-fuel-powered van is expected to be available in 2022. 

Plug Power also agreed to acquire Applied Cryo Technologies Inc. to expand its transition to the green hydrogen ecosystem. The deal closes in the fourth quarter this year.

The company also agreed with Fortescue Future Industries Pty Ltd to create a 50-50 joint venture for a Gigafactory in Australia’s Queensland to expand hydrogen and fuel cell systems and storage infrastructure.
