Nike Revenues Rise 1% in Q2 2022 to Beat Estimates

(Nike Inc.) Nike Inc. posted revenues of $11.36 billion in the second quarter of 2022, 1% above last year, beating the expected $11.25 billion.

The company’s direct sales rose 9% to $4.7 billion in the second quarter of 2022. Digital sales were up 12% or 11% on a currency-neutral basis.

The gross margin improved by 280 basis points to 45.9%. 

Net income was $1.3 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 7%. Diluted earnings per share increased by 6% in the quarter to $0.83.

Nike announced dividends of $437 million, an increase of 14% from the prior year, with share buybacks of $968 million in the quarter.

NKE: NYSE is up +3.45% on premarket.
