Microsoft Raises Quarterly Dividend By 11% and Initiates a Share Buyback

(Microsoft) Microsoft Corp. announced an 11% increase in the quarterly dividend to $0.62 per share on Tuesday, in comparison to the last quarter. Company has approved a share buyback plan with no expiration date worth $60 billion.  

The dividend will be paid on December 9, 2021, to shareholders, on record November 18, 2021. The ex-dividend date is for November 17, 2021.  

Satya Nadella, the Chairman and CEO, announced that the board had approved Brad Smith’s appointment as the President and Vice-Chair of the tech giant.

The company announced that its annual shareholders’ meeting, which will be held virtually, will be on November 30, 2021. Shareholders as of September 30 2021 will be eligible to vote.

MSFT: NASDAQ is up +1.3% on pre-market.
