U.S. Futures
Futures for the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average remained flat, indicating no clear direction for the market after the opening bell.
European Stocks
In morning trading, the Stoxx Europe 600 dropped by 0.4%. Aviva and MorphoSys saw gains of 2.9%, while Viaplay Group Series B and Alstom experienced declines of 4.1% and 3% respectively. The FTSE 100 lost 0.2%, with France’s CAC 40 declining by 0.3% and Germany’s DAX falling by 0.4%.
Dollar Index
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index showed a slight increase of 0.1% to reach 99.07.
Commodities
Brent crude rose by 0.3% to $92.30 a barrel, while WTI crude increased by 0.4% to $89.16 a barrel.
Bonds
The German 10-year Bund yield rose by 1 basis point to 2.659%, while the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury increased by 1 basis point to 4.297%. It is important to note that bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Asian Stocks
Asian stocks witnessed a decline, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 index and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng both falling by 0.2%. China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite declined by 0.4%.
