(Lululemon) Lululemon netted a revenue of $1.6 billion in the first quarter of 2022, representing an increase of 32% from the last year. Revenue grew by 32% in North America and 29% globally.
Lululemon said that its comparable sales were up by 28% adjusted for currency changes, with comparable-store sales up 24%.
Following a robust quarter, Lululemon earned a diluted EPS of $1.48, an increase from $1.11 per share in the prior year.
The company said it repurchased 0.7 million shares of its own common stock at an average of $328.40 per share for $232.6 million.
Lululemon said that it expects higher revenue in the range of $1.750 billion to $1.775 billion in the second quarter. The revenue is expected to rise to between $7.761 billion to $7.71 billion in FY22.
Further, Lululemon expects a diluted EPS of between $1.89 to $1.94 in the second quarter and $9.42 to $9.57 per share in FY22.
