(WSJ) Jeff Bezos has hinted at boarding the first flight into space next month via Amazon’s space-travel company, Blue Origin.
The space flight launch will occur on July 20 from West Texas
Bezos revealed his intended space flight through an Instagram post saying he has always looked forward to it.
Bezos’ comments come at a time when he is stepping down as Amazon’s CEO after leading the e-commerce giant for at least two decades.
Blue Origin has championed commercial space flights and is also working to launch payloads for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
The winner of Blue Origin’s charity auction set to be concluded later this month will also board the inaugural space flight.
Blue Origin’s Space endeavor seeks to rival those of Tesla’s SpaceX and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.
