GDP Growth in the Euro Area and EU Improves Further in the Third Quarter

(Eurostat) Economic growth is estimated to have jumped by 2.2% in the euro area in the third quarter, more than a gain of 2.1% in the second. Growth in the EU was 2.1%, higher than 2.0% in the second quarter.

GDP growth rates over the previous quarter

Euro area GDP is now higher by 3.7% from the prior year, while in the EU, it is 3.9% higher in the same period.

The highest increase in GDP was recorded in Austria at 3.3%, while the countries of France and Portugal followed. Growth was recorded the lowest in Latvia at +0.3% and was stable at 0.0% in Lithuania. 

DAX is down -0.92%, EURUSD is down -0.22%.
