Euro Area Annual Inflation Spikes to 4.9% in November

(Eurostat) Euro area annual inflation is estimated to have climbed to 4.9% in November, from 4.1% in the previous month.

Energy is seen to contribute to the highest rise in inflation, with an annual rate of 27.4% in November, from 23.7% in October. Services’ inflation came second at 2.7% from 2.1% in October.

Non-energy industrial goods inflation was estimated at 2.4%, compared to 2.0% in October. 

Food, alcohol, and tobacco inflation was estimated at 2.2% from 1.9% in the previous month.

DAX is down -1.41%, EURUSD is up +0.64%.
