(Vox) Elon Musk has recommended the integration of crypto payments into social media giant Twitter.
In a Q&A session with Twitter Employees, Musk said that integrating payments would make it easier to send and receive money. He says integrating payments is part of the broader plan to ensure people keep visiting the site.
Musk says he wants to ensure that Twitter has a user base of at least 1 billion people worldwide. He says to achieve the goal he needs to ensure that users are not harassed.
The Tesla CEO hinted that for Twitter to achieve its goal, layoffs, restructuring, and cost-cutting could be considered.
The comments by Musk come amid uncertainty over whether he would buy Twitter. Musk has previously threatened to walk out of the deal over claims of misrepresentation of spam accounts.
