Coinbase Starts Offering Staking Options for Cardano’s ADA

(Coinbase) Coinbase has announced that its staking offerings for its users now include Cardano’s ADA tokens.

Coinbase’s senior product manager Rupmalini Sahu said that ADA ranks as a top-ten coin in terms of market capitalization. He lauded its flexibility, scalability, and sustainability.

ADA has now become the fifth coin that enjoys staking services by Coinbase. The previous cryptocurrencies include Cosmos, Ethereum, Algorand, and Tezos.

Sahu said that the US crypto exchange will continue scaling up its staking portfolio this year.

The addition of ADA comes after CEO Brian Armstrong said, in June last year, that Coinbase eyes listings of every asset it can legally. The exchange now supports 168 tokens and coins, up from only 60 at the start of 2021.

ADAUSD is up +2.76%
