(Coinbase) Coinbase has announced that its wallet’s list now supports BNB Chain and Avalanche, bringing the number of the total supported wallets to four.
Coinbase says that the expanded support allows the crypto exchange to enable access to “thousands of tokens,” expanding variety beyond what the traditional exchanges offer.
BNB Chain and Avalanche now join Ethereum and Polygon to the list of supported networks on the Coinbase wallet. Wallet users intending to trade on-chain can use Coinbase in-app decentralized exchange on four networks.
Currently, Coinbase lists 173 tokens on the exchange. The numbers are significantly lower than the thousands of tokens supported on the four networks it has added to its wallet.
Coinbase states that in the future, it will be in a position to allow users to conduct swaps on more networks. The exchange says this will enable users to move tokens across several networks.
The latest addition comes when Coinbase is also rolling out its Web3 wallet and browser via a mobile app. The move is expected to enable mobile traders to access a wide ecosystem of DEXs.
AVAXUSD is down -1.25%, BNBUSD is up +1.26.
