Coca-Cola EPS Grows 23% as Revenues Hit $10 Billion

(Coca Cola) Coca-Cola reported a $0.64 earnings per share in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 23% from the previous year. 

The company’s revenue was $10.5 billion in the first quarter, an increase of 16% from the previous year. The organic revenues increased by 18%.  

The company reported an operating margin of 32.5%, an increase from 30.2% in the previous year. 

Coca-Cola approximates a 1% impact on the company’s unit case volume in FY22 due to the impacts of the Ukraine war. The company also projects a 1% to 2% impact on its net revenues and operating income due to the crisis, as well as a $0.04 hit on the comparable non-GAAP EPS.

Coca-Cola is also projecting a mid-single-digit percentage headwind on its comparable cost of goods due to surging commodity prices. 

The company expects to deliver a 7% to 8% growth in non-GAAP organic revenue. The comparable net revenues are expected to grow by 2% to 3%.
