(Reuters) Citigroup seeks to fill 100 positions in different countries in readiness for the adoption of crypto assets and blockchain.
The crypto team, who will be housed at the bank’s institutional division, will comprise internal and external hires. The team will be based in Singapore, London, New York, and Tel Aviv.
Citi says it is studying different markets and the existing regulatory landscape to meet its own control frameworks and supervisory minimums.
Citi’s head of digital assets and blockchain technology, Puneet Singhvi, will lead the crypto team. The team will participate in product development and management and lay a strategy to exploit opportunities in digital assets.
