(TSMC) Total revenues of chipmaker TSMC hit NT$155.38 billion in December 2021, equivalent to a record $5.6 billion.
The record revenue in December was an increase of 4.8% from the previous month and was 32.4% higher than the prior year.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, TSMC revenues hit a record NT$438.18 billion, a sixth straight quarterly record.
In the January to December period, the chipmaker’s revenue was NT$1,587.42 billion, up 18.5% from the prior year’s period.
The record revenues in December and in the third quarter happened amid a rise in the demand for semiconductors, with the chipmaker announcing plans to hike prices last year.
