Blackberry Widens Losses in Q2 to $144M Amid Decreasing Revenues

(BlackBerry) Blackberry Limited reported a net loss of $144 million in the second quarter of 2022, an increase from a loss of $23 million reported in the same period of last year.

The company had $206 million in net loss for the half-year ended August 31, a decrease in comparison to a net loss of $659 million in the corresponding period of last year.

The company’s revenue reduced to $175 million in the second quarter, from $259 million in the same quarter of last year. 

Blackberry reported $349 million revenue for half-year, a reduction in comparison to $465 million reported in the same period of the last fiscal year.

The company has announced its appointment of a new President, John Giamatteo, to head the Cyber Security business effective October 4.
