(Bitinfocharts) The third-ranked bitcoin whale has taken advantage of the recent fall in Bitcoin price to add 456 tokens at an average price of $46,363.
The purchase, worth about $21 million, was made on January 4th and is the first significant buy in the new year.
The purchase happens when Bitcoin is down more than 8% in seven days, with the index tracking its relative share of the market down to below 40%.
Following the purchase, the whale now holds 120,845.57 BTC, with a value of around $5.6 billion.
