66 Billion Dollar Lawsuit Seeking to Uncover Satoshi Nakamoto Identity

(CoinDesk) The trial of Ira Kleiman versus Craig Wright seeking to uncover the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and the fate of his 1.1 million bitcoins has begun in Miami.

Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist, started trying to prove that he is the mysterious Bitcoin inventor in 2016.

Ira Kleiman, claims that his late brother, David, was the co-creator of Bitcoin and is entitled to part of the $66 billion worth of bitcoins in question.

The lawsuit posits that David Kleiman and Craig Wright started a partnership called W&K info Research, LLC to mine bitcoin and manage its intellectual property.

Ira Kleiman claims that his late brother mined the contested treasure of bitcoins. Craig maintains that though David was his friend, they were never business partners.

A jury of ten judges has three weeks to determine the case. Craig Wright has not retrieved Satoshi’s bitcoins despite saying that he has the private keys to the wallet.
