Wholesale Inventories Cool to a 1.4% Increase in November

US merchant wholesalers held $771.1 billion worth of inventories at the end of November, an increase of 1.4% from October. The increase was lower than the 2.5% posted in October. SPY is down -1.74%, DXY is up +0.41%.

Monthly Wholesale Inventories
  • Compared to November 2020, the total inventories were up 15.9%. The inventories were up 1.4% in the October to November period.
  • In the same month of November, the wholesale inventory sales totaled $630.8 billion, an increase of 1.3% from the previous month. The sales were up 23.3% from the prior year. 
  • The inventories to sales ratio was 1.22 in November, compared to 1.30 in the prior year.
