What to Expect on Apple’s iPhone Event on Tuesday

(CNBC) Tech giant Apple Inc. is widely expected to unveil the latest version of its products during its seventh straight virtual annual launch on Tuesday.

Among the expected releases are the new iPhones, updates to the AirPods and the Apple Watch, and possibly the awaited updates to the new iPads and MacBook Pro laptops.

Apple could also delve into non-product projects under development such as updates on its initiatives to cut down emissions and become carbon neutral in the next 10 years, likely to be discussed by Vice President Lisa Jackson.

The company in the last quarter reported double-digit growth in the year-on-year revenues of its iPhone, Mac, and iPad products, as well as the “other products” category which covers its watches and AirPods.

Apple could also announce new services, which it usually does at fall launches. A separate launch could happen in October or November if new Macs are scheduled to be rolled out in the fall.

Apple’s iPhone lineup — which accounted for half of 2020 sales — is likely to be similar to the 2020 release with the same screen sizes and prices.

AAPL is up 0.79%.
