Unity Software Raises Guidance after a 48% Uptick in Revenue in the Second Quarter

(Unity) Unity Software Inc. recorded a revenue of $273.6 million revenue in the second quarter, up 48% year over year.

Unity’s loss from operations widened to $149.2 million, or 55% of revenue, up from a loss of $24.8 million, or 13% of revenue from the comparable quarter of 2020.

Basic and diluted earnings per share was $0.53, up from an EPS of $0.21 in the comparable quarter of 2020.

Unity now anticipates revenue of between $260 million to $265 million in the third quarter and $1.045 billion to $1.060 billion in FY21.

The company anticipates non-GAAP loss from operations in the range of $15 million to $20 million in the third quarter and loss of $55 million to $65 million in FY21.
