Trump Changes Course on Relief Talks, Supports $1,200 Coronavirus Stimulus Checks

President Donald Trump urged Congress to approve coronavirus relief checks, including a new $1,200 stimulus for Americans, according to CNBC. Trump had halted talks with top Democrats and Republicans until after November election. 

  • Trump urged the House and Senate to approve $25 billion for Airline Payroll Support and $135 billion for a Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business.
