Travis Perkins CFO Set to Step Down

Travis Perkins, the U.K. building-materials retailer, has announced that Chief Financial Officer Alan Williams will be stepping down in 2024. In his place, the company has named Duncan Cooper, currently Group Finance Director at Crest Nicholson, as his successor.

Specific retirement and appointment dates are yet to be confirmed by Travis Perkins. However, Crest Nicholson has released a separate statement confirming that Cooper will continue in his current role until January in order to ensure a smooth completion of the year-end audit and facilitate a seamless handover to his replacement.

Cooper has been serving as finance director at Crest since June 2019. Prior to this, he held various positions at J Sainsbury for eight years, including head of investor relations and director of finance.

Travis Perkins’ Chair Jasmine Whitbread praised Cooper’s extensive experience in both Sainsbury’s and the construction industry with Crest Nicholson. She highlighted his industry knowledge, strategic acumen, and strong leadership as valuable assets that will contribute to the company’s ambitious agenda.

Crest Nicholson also confirmed that it has initiated the process of appointing a successor.
