Tortilla Mexican Grill reported a rise in revenue for the first half of the year, driven by increasing demand. The U.K. restaurant group remains optimistic about achieving results in line with market expectations for the year.
For the first half that ended on July 2, revenue reached £32.7 million ($42.8 million), surpassing the £26.9 million earned during the first half of 2022. The company expects its revenue for the entirety of 2023 to be around £69.8 million.
Despite ongoing economic pressures affecting the sector, Tortilla Mexican Grill has successfully implemented various efficiency and cost-saving measures, including utilities hedging. These initiatives have contributed to the company’s profitability, and they will continue to be implemented in the second half of the year.
