(BeinCrypto) Compass Mining CEO Whit Gibbs says the US is already mining Bitcoin, suggesting that the country may have 10-20 watts running in the Midwest to test it.
After remaining mute about the matter, the US offered a unique mention of Bitcoin mining; El Salvador publicly said they are engaged in the activity.
Gibbs cites national security concerns on the undeclared Bitcoin mining by the US, saying discussions with the government and the states are positive about the operations.
The Compass CEO says Bitcoin mining will be an opportunity for the developing world to level up. He says El Salvador’s move will prove wise in the next two to three decades.
