(Reuters) Electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. sold 70,847 China-made vehicles in December, an increase from 52,859 the previous month.
In December, only 245 China-made vehicles were designated for export, a decline from 21,127 in the previous month.
Tesla rivals Nio Inc. had delivered 10,489 cars in December, up 49.7% from the prior year, while Xpeng delivered 16,000 vehicles.
In total, passenger car sales in China in the last month of 2021 was 2.14 million, a decline of 7.7% from the prior year.
