Tesla’s China-Made Vehicle Sales Plummets to 56,515 in February

(Reuters) Tesla’s sales of China-made electric vehicles totaled 56,515 units in February, a decline from 59,845 units in January.

Tesla sales in February included 33,315 that were exported.

The falls come even as rivals thrive. Nio Inc. delivered 6,131 cars in February, an increase of 9.9% from the prior year. Li Auto deliveries rose 265.8% from the prior year to 8,414, while Xpeng deliveries improved by 180% to 6,225 in the same period.

Despite the falls in Tesla’s vehicle sales, passenger car sales in China rose by 4.7% in February from the previous year to reach a total of 1.27 million.
