(Business Insider) Canadian startup Geometric Energy Corporation in partnership with SpaceX, intends to launch a satellite that will display adverts into space.
Samuel Reid, GEC’s CEO, announced that the satellite called CubeSat will feature an advert-display screen.
People will watch the satellite screen live on YouTube filmed with a selfie stick attached to it.
Advertisers on the satellite will buy tokens with cryptocurrencies, with Reid looking at a possibility of introducing dogecoin payments in the future.
Geometric plans to launch the satellite aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
