(FuelCell Energy) FuelCell Energy Inc posted a loss for the fourth quarter, reflecting increased expenses and missed Wall Street estimates.
The Danbury-headquartered company posted a loss of $24.98 million or $0.07 per share for the last quarter ended in October, compared with $19.65 million or $0.08 per share posted the same period in 2020.
The energy company’s loss from operations increased to $22.55 for Q4 of the current fiscal year against $17.12M posted for the three months to October last year.
Operating expenses for the last three-month of 2021 rose to $14.2M, from $9.1M posted for Q4 of 2020. That figure includes higher legal expenses related to tax equity financings and extra share-based compensation expenses.
For Q4, the EBITDA loss of the company grew by 52% to $17.60 million on, year-over-year basis.
The quarterly revenue decreased by 18% to $13.93 million, YoY, largely due to a $5.6 decrease in service agreements and license revenues.
