Salesforce Raises Guidance after Revenue Jumps by 23% in Q2 2022

(Salesforce.com) Salesforce reported a second quarter revenue of $6.34 billion, a gain of 23% from the comparable period of last year.

For the first half of FY22, Salesforce revenues were $12.303 billion, up from $10.016 billion in the comparable period of 2020.

Subscription and support revenues in the second quarter rose by 22% year over year to $5.91 billion.

Second-quarter GAAP operating margin was 5.2%. GAAP diluted EPS was $0.56 in the same period.

Net income fell to $535 million, down from $2.625 billion in the second quarter of 2021. Six-month net income was $1.004 billion, down from $2.724 billion in the comparable period of 2021.

Salesforce now projects revenue of $6.78 billion to $6.79 billion in the third quarter. FY22 revenue is expected to range between $26.2 billion and $26.3 billion.

The company projects GAAP loss per share of between $0.0.6 to $0.05 in the third quarter, and $0.81 and $0.83 for the FY22.
