Peloton Reports a Loss of $313.2M in Q4 Despite a Jump in Subscription Revenue

(Peloton) Peloton Interactive, Inc. announced a net loss of $313.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to a profit of $89.1 million in the same period of last year.

The exercise equipment and media company had a net loss of $189 million in the 2021 fiscal year, in contrast to a loss of $71.6 million in 2020.

Peloton reported net revenue of $936.9 million in the fourth quarter, up from $607.1 million in the same quarter of last year.

The net revenue jumped to $4.0 billion, from $1.8 billion reported in the fiscal year ended June 30 of 2020 fiscal year.

Peloton projects that its revenue will be $800 million with a gross profit margin of 33% in the first quarter of 2022. 

The full fiscal year 2022 revenue is projected to be $5.4 billion, with a gross profit margin of 34%.
