(SEMI) Semiconductor equipment manufacturers in North America recorded $3.92 billion in billings in December 2021, down by 0.5% from the final November level.
The December billings were still the second-highest ever and were 46.1% higher than the prior-year reading of $2.68 billion.
SEMI President and CEO Ajit Manocha says this is the first-time billings have surpassed $3 billion every month of the year, reflecting unprecedented demand as well as outstanding execution by the suppliers.
